VICTORVILLE, CA, April 16, 2009 – Prime Healthcare Services (PHS), a fully integrated hospital management company in California, announced today that four of its hospitals recently went LIVE with MEDITECH on the same day. The four sites, Garden Grove Hospital & Medical Center (Garden Grove, CA), San Dimas Community Hospital (San Dimas, CA), Sherman Oaks Hospital & Grossman Burn Center (Sherman Oaks, CA), and Encino Hospital Medical Center (Encino, CA), all went LIVE with a full version, on December 31, 2008.
"We knew this project would be no small task," says Lex Reddy, M.B.A., M.H.A., President and CEO of Prime Healthcare Services. "Thanks to all the hard work from our hospitals' staff and MEDITECH's specialists, everything went smoothly. All four hospitals started out the new year running MEDITECH software."
These four sites join two other PHS hospitals, Centinela Hospital Medical Center (Inglewood, CA) and Montclair Hospital Medical Center (Montclair, CA) that recently implemented MEDITECH. PHS also has two more hospitals which plan to go LIVE with MEDITECH during the second and fourth quarters of 2009. The implementation of MEDITECH throughout these PHS facilities will improve the quality of patient care by allowing for the efficient delivery of health information to the point of care and simultaneous distributions of the health information to all concerned.
Steven Koretz, Vice President of implementation for MEDITECH, says the company salutes Prime Healthcare Services' ability to go LIVE with multiple sites on the same day. "PHS has proven to be an organization that sticks to their goals and consistently meets their deadlines. MEDITECH and PHS have a great relationship, and I am looking forward to continuing our work with them."
