Prime Healthcare Services Recognized as 5th Largest For-Profit Health System by Becker’s Hospital Review

Ontario, Calif., Aug. 31, 2015 – Prime Healthcare Services has recently been named the 5th largest for-profit hospital system in the United States by Becker's Hospital Review and is listed in its 2015 10 Largest For-Profit Hospital Systems based on number of acute-care hospitals. Becker's is one of the nation's leading sources of healthcare industry information and the list is based on data from the American Hospital Directory, which obtains its information from CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services).
Health systems also receiving this recognition include: Community Health Systems with 188 facilities; Hospital Corporation of America with 166 facilities; Tenet Healthcare with 74 facilities; LifePoint Health with 56 facilities; Universal Health Services with 28 facilities; IASIS Healthcare with 18 facilities; Ardent Health Services with 12 facilities; Capella Healthcare with 9 facilities; Steward Health Care System with 9 facilities; and National Surgical Hospital with 8 facilities.
