Prime Healthcare's Dr. Kavitha Bhatia Recognized by U.S. Congress and California Legislators for Inspiring Leadership and Service

Dr. Kavitha Bhatia, President and Chair of the Prime Healthcare Foundation
and Chief Medical Officer of Strategy, Prime Healthcare, was presented
with congressional and legislative recognitions for service and leadership
to the community at a Women’s History Month event in Los Angeles.
At the event, Dr. Bhatia was presented with a Certificate of Congressional
Recognition from U.S. Congresswoman Nanette Barragan’s office for
her honorable service and leadership in healthcare.
“I commend you for your hard work and commitment to improve the quality
of life for the residents of California’s 44th District. On behalf
of our entire community, I thank you for your many years of selfless service
and wish you a great many more.”
Dr. Bhatia also received an Assembly Certificate of Recognition from California
State Speaker Anthony Rendon, thanking her for her inspiring leadership
and public service.
“I applaud your tireless commitment and dedication to those your
serve so fearlessly. We are all proud to have a distinguished role model
like yourself representing the city of Lynwood. I wish you continued success!”
In addition, Dr. Bhatia received a State Senate Recognition from Senator
Lena Gonzales, in honor of her unwavering commitment and dedication to
improving the health of residents.“I commend your leadership for improving healthcare through educational
and charitable initiative. Your outstanding efforts have granted much
deserved recognition as a prominent advocate for women. On behalf of the
33rd Senate District, thank you for your contributions.”
The recognitions came as a result of Dr. Bhatia’s transformational
leadership through the COVID pandemic as National Committee and Command
Center Co-Chair and her strategic vision and commitment to Prime Healthcare’s
award-winning family of hospitals across the nation. St. Francis Medical
Center, the newest member of the Prime Healthcare, acquired during the
pandemic amidst incredible challenges, has been recognized for extraordinary
service to its community in South Los Angeles. This work has helped expand
access to quality compassionate care and address healthcare disparities.
