Prime Healthcare has entered into an asset purchase agreement with Franciscan Alliance to acquire the 214-bed Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, further expanding its presence in Illinois. The proposed transaction includes Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC, and reflects Prime’s continued commitment to strengthening community hospitals while honoring faith-based care traditions. As part of the agreement, Prime has pledged mission-driven investments, including a $5 million philanthropic contribution to support medical education. Pending regulatory approval, the hospital will join Prime’s eight existing Illinois facilities, reinforcing access to high-quality, compassionate care across the Chicago south suburbs.
