Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board

(12/17/2024) Prime Healthcare is honored and humbled by today’s unanimous vote by the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board to approve the sale of the nine Ascension Illinois hospitals and affiliated facilities to Prime Healthcare. We thank the Board for its thoughtful and thorough evaluation of this historic transaction, the largest in Prime’s history. Since our inception, Prime’s belief is that hospitals are community anchors and that all communities deserve access to high-quality, compassionate care. It is an honor to be selected by Ascension to steward these facilities into the future.  We look forward to completing the transaction process and bringing Prime Healthcare’s mission of quality community healthcare to Chicago and the surrounding communities.

Prime Application Process

We are pleased to welcome the Ascension Illinois associates to the launch of our job application process. Given the upcoming change of ownership, all associates will be required to apply for positions online. This will be a rolling process over several months, and we have done our best to make it as simple as possible. Look out for an email from primehealthcare+autoreply@talent.icims.com that will contain an invitation and link to apply for a position similar to the one you currently hold with Ascension. Open enrollment runs from December 4 through December 21, giving you the opportunity to enroll in your Prime Healthcare benefits. For Ascension Illinois Associates who have not yet received an offer or have yet to accept an offer from Prime Healthcare, we will be extending the Enrollment period through the close of the acquisition.
