Mr. James “Jim” Gilman serves as Prime Healthcare’s Vice President and General Counsel and is a member of the Prime Healthcare Executive Team.

Mr. Gilman joins Prime with more than 30 years of experience. Most recently, he served as General Counsel for Methodist Healthcare, a health system based in San Antonio, Texas, with more than 80 locations, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, and family health clinics. Prior to his 15-year tenure with Methodist Healthcare, Mr. Gilman was a Partner and Health Practice Group Lead Attorney at Cox Smith Matthews, Inc., the largest Texas-based law firm, where he served as outside General Counsel for hospitals and academic healthcare entities.

Mr. Gilman earned his JD from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. He is board-certified in health law in Texas and is a member of various legal organizations, including the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers.
